Cambodia Itinerary Day 3 (14th Sept 2015)

[Day 3 Banteay Srei (Ladies Temple) - Kbal Spean (Waterfall) - Landmine Museum - back to Guest house - Pub Street massage!]

8am breakfast at Palm Lodge Guest House, their breakfast is tasty :D

Ladies Temple-Banteay Srei

After breakfast we start our visit about 9am, by tuk tuk. It take about one hour to reach Ladies Temple-Banteay Srei. This temple is a bit far from Town area. The area and the building, include all the decorative wall carvings are miniature in scale. Its being widely praised as a "precious gem", or the "jewel of Khmer art". The building material is mostly red sand stone. I heard a tour guide said this is the temple funded privately by officer, do they build smaller than main temple in Angkor wat to show their respect to king. The carvings here are AWESOME! highly recommend for those who love carving design and art.

Crowded of people in the early morning ~.~

A buddha face just as small as my thumb!

Even the wall is full with the script.
Although i can't understand it, but i saw a sun symbol there.

Landmine museum

1.30 pm depart for next destination: Landmine museum. 5 USD for entrance ticket (include audio tour device) , take about 1.5 hours to visit if you read through all the information in museum. In Cambodia, there still have a lot of places with landmine which haven't explode yet. A lot of children play around the area and then the accident happen, especially at the countryside. Most of the bomb didn't explode during the Vietnam War about late 1960's and early 1970's.

Full of wall drawing by the children victim from landmine.

The map above shows the over 60,000 bombing missions flown by American pilots between October of 1965 and August of 1973. Each of the red dots marks a village or area targeted during those years.
